starting happily ever after

Over the past few days, I have realized how many facets there are to marriage. My sister just got married, and watching her find her feet these past few days was really enlightening. I suppose I always believed that if I was really in love, everything would be peachy. We’d live “happily ever after” and all that jazz. Helping my sis embrace her new life (though that isn’t so hard for her yet) is quite interesting as I discover just how much I’ve been missing all these years.

Things like, making lunch for my husband every day; figuring out what to do all day; realizing that I’ll need a hostess gift for my mom whenever I’m invited over; making sure that my husband comes home to a clean, welcoming, happy atmosphere and wife; these are so important, and I never would have seen the little details unless I’d been watching my sister take the lead. A huge thanks to M&G for being the first of the Five Families to take the big step into unknown territory.
